Lime-Marinated Grilled Salmon

Lime-Marinated Grilled Salmon pairs bright citrus with a gentle kick of Dijon and spices, which highlights the rich, flaky fish without overpowering it. Zingy lime and warm ginger-cayenne notes create a balanced marinade that caramelizes lightly on the grill. Ideal for a weeknight dinner or casual cookout, it’s flavorful, fresh, and versatile enough for other firm fish.

Lime-Marinated Grilled Salmon
  1. 1

In a medium bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, mustard, ginger, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper until well blended; transfer the mixture to a resealable plastic bag. Add the salmon steaks, coat them with the marinade, press out the excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

  2. 2

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate.

  3. 3

Remove the salmon from the marinade and shake off the excess. Discard the remaining marinade.

  4. 4

Grill on the preheated grill until the fish flakes easily with a fork, 5 to 10 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
